While Andromeda’s Feline Familiars is a newer name in the world of Maine Coon breeding, our foundation is built on years of hands-on experience in responsible, ethical breeding. Prior to dedicating ourselves to Maine Coons, we gained extensive knowledge breeding Great Danes—a breed that, much like the Maine Coon, requires careful attention to health, structure, temperament, and long-term wellbeing.

That experience shaped our approach to breeding: intentional pairings, thorough health testing, proper prenatal and neonatal care, early socialization, and lifelong responsibility for every animal produced. These principles remain unchanged as we transition into the Maine Coon breed.

We recognize that mastery comes through mentorship, and we do not walk this path alone. Our program is guided by established, reputable Maine Coon catteries who serve as trusted mentors and educators. Their experience, combined with our dedication to continued learning, allows us to follow best practices and breed to the highest standards.

Every step we take is deliberate—grounded in research, transparency, and respect for the breed. We are committed to doing things the right way, not the fast way.
